What I want I can download the recorded tracks form my Garmin Fenix, and then get them onto Google Earth for viewing, but that's about the only useful useable feature so far.Ĭrashes on startup. When asked, they said that if I did not like the product, I should buy something else. Garmin could care less about the fact this is a genuine cluster-crap of a product. This guaranteed to NOT FIND an address, be difficult to use, take more time to plot than to drive there, and tech support admits this is a really poor program, that you should manually input your addresses into the Nuvi and take your chances.

MemoryMap is great, but they need to make a Mac version. I have spent a lot of money on digital maps for different systems. Map files only work with specific applications or makes of GPS.

Mapping software in general seems to be a huge con. It really let's down the excellent Garmin GPS units. It fails to fulfil its basic purpose of being able to transfer useable data between GPS and computer. Again, this used to work until a couple of updates ago. The waypoints and route appear on my GPS but it will not navigate. Catch I have bought the topo maps so why can't I copy them to my Mac and access them from within BaseCamp? Like the far superior Memory Map that sadly is only available for Windows. It used to be OK, but went wrong a couple of upgrades ago. I used to use my dell laptop to plan our trips and the program took for ever to load and crashed during planning multiple times in an hour.Crashes every time I try to load a route to or download a track from my Garmin Garmap 64s. It is a great tool to load our international vacation trips into our Garmin GPS. My wife and I have used BaseCamp for several years. You're not looking like the world-class dev company that you are with this product.

Garmin: Please update this sorry piece of software soon or admit defeat and find a way to import Google map route files directly. Utter, complete, coffee-cup-throwing frustration. Try building a fun motorcycle route on Google Maps which is easy and then transfer that to Basecamp so you can load it to your zumo. The map renders slowly on Catalina, the UI is terribly far behind the times. MazinOR 24 May Why, oh why, is Basecamp such utter crap? I mean, really it's junk. This is the worst piece of route planning software that I've ever come across. Anyway, good on Garmin for moving this old but important app to 64 bit.
Bugs with prior macOS versions are to be left for future bug fixes. Not surprised that the devs would focus on the current macOS version. I'd suggest that anyone having trouble should consider moving to the latest version of macOS. No obvious and significant changes to the GUI from v4.
